About the Job:

Iron City Elite Strength and conditioning is seeking a part-time coach who can work a blend of morning and or evening times tolead our semi-private personal training sessions and youth sports performance programs. Although this is a part-time role to begin, if desired, you will be given the opportunity to grow within the business over time - based on performance, reliability, and management reviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate proper exercise instruction across all types of movements using (but not limited to) bodyweight, dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, and more.
  • Assist in program design for both adult fitness and youth speed and strength programs.
  • Be an available soundboard for clients that have questions regarding fitness in & outside the facility and general nutrition concerns while providing recommendations based on the client's goals.
  • Administration Work: Using email communications and client booking/tracking through Mindbody software.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a fitness/performance coaching related position.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and nutrition principles
  • Have excellent communication skills: verbal and nonverbal including the ability to listen and coach individuals that span from novice to elite level athletes.
  • Ability to adapt training on the fly - increasing or decreasing difficulty based on the client(s)
  • Have a strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Have a passion for health, fitness, and nutrition-based education.
  • Willingness to continually learn & improve your knowledge in the field.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and select half-days on holidays.
  • Certifications: NSCA, NASM, TPI, other accredited specializations.
  • Education: Minimum – Bachelors in Exercise Science or a related field.
